Rusty-cheeked Scimitar Babbler are natives to South East Asia from Himalayas to Myanmar. Rusty-cheeked Scimitar Babblers spend most of their time in undergrowth looking for insects. The species can be very noisy.
The first time I saw a Rusty-cheeked Scimitar Babbler is during the GIBT 2018 – CS trip to Uttarakhand. A pair is seen searching for food near a cattle shed. They were totally ignoring us initially and was jumping from branch to branches and often landing on the ground in search of food. A good 15 minutes is spent watching these pair.
